It’s a sedan, definitely, but the man who’s getting out is still inspired by that meeting he had the other day with astronauts and space explorers. “We were certified this week that we are a space power,” says Markus Söder about space travel in Bavaria. Then he marches on towards the exhibition hall, where the CSU party conference is about to begin. The CSU is also slowly coming back to questions of power, very earthly, in the fall of 2023 there will be state elections.
