In five months, royal wedding bells will ring again: Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan will tie the knot in the summer.

A royal wedding will be celebrated again in the new year. Like the royal house of Jordan communicated via the official Twitter accountCrown Prince Hussein (28), the eldest son of Queen Rania (52), will tie the knot in exactly five months: “The royal court is pleased to announce that the wedding of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II . and Mrs. Rajwa Khalid Alseif will take place on June 1, 2023.”

The engagement of the two was announced in August last year. Queen Rania also posted on Twitter captioned a photo of the beaming couple at the time and wrote, “I never thought it was possible to carry so much joy in my heart. Happy birthday to my eldest Prince Hussein and his beautiful bride-to-be Rajwa.” As the future wife of the crown prince, Rajwa will eventually also be Queen of Jordan.

Another wedding is in the royal house

It was the second engagement within a few weeks that the family was allowed to announce in 2022: Hussein’s younger sister, Princess Iman (26), had just announced her engagement to a New York businessman. The Queen also found touching words on this: “Congratulations, my dearest Iman; your smile has always been a gift of love, which I have treasured since the day you were born. I wish you and Jameel a life full of love and laughter!” Their wedding date has yet to be announced.

In addition to Hussein and Iman, Queen Rania and King Abdullah II (60), who have been married to each other since 1993, have two other children: Princess Salma (22) and Prince Hashem (17). On January 30, 2023, the youngest child will celebrate his 18th birthday, and his father was born on the same day 61 years ago.
