Since August 22, the 25-year-old Jura farmer has been one of the figures of the 17th season of Love is in the meadow on M6. If she had never watched a single episode before the previous season, it is now an unmissable part of her busy week’s schedule. So out of the question to skip the fifth episode.
“Every Monday, I am with friends and we watch the episode together”, comments the cattle farmer, glasses on her nose and hair pulled back. She brushes off the question of whether a potential suitor will join the party as spoiling the show’s sequel is out of the question. This evening, Chloé and Laurène, her friends for more than ten years, joined her at her home not far from Dole.

It’s 9:10 p.m. when Karine Le Marchand launches the episode and in the apartment of “Nonoche” – that’s what her friends call her – all eyes are riveted on the television screen. Sleepover atmosphere for the trio gathered under a thick duvet and their stomachs filled with Mont d’Or, the local cheese. “We are not going to turn on the heating in September”, justifies the farmer.
“That’s it, we’re there,” Chloe says to make her two friends look up from the screen of their phone. Half an hour has passed since the launch of the episode when the cameras finally land on Noémie’s farm after having followed the adventures of Thierry, Alexandre and Nadège in turn.
Oppressed by the presence of her two suitors, the young woman at the head of a herd of 55 cows bursts into tears on the screen. “Come on, we’re crying,” she says to her reflection in 4k before retorting: “I’m drunk! »
Real doubts cut in the editing
If the sequence lasts only a few seconds in the romance program of the six, Noémie confides that she questioned her participation in the show the day after the arrival of Romain and Gaël.
“I had a really bad time on the first survey,” she recalls. It was super complicated for me who hates conflict to tell myself that I was going to have to choose between two boys and hurt one of them. In my life, I have always been the one who suffered but I had never been in the position to choose so I was not at all comfortable. »
The production intervened to convince the young woman to stay in the program. However, the images broadcast do not even evoke his doubts as to his future in the adventure. It is finally the presence of his friends, who arrive with their arms full to meet his two courtiers, who will finish persuading Nonoche.
On screen as in life
Laurène and Chloé straighten up to better scrutinize their friend’s actions. But they also appear in turn on the screen because they were present during the Olympics orchestrated by the relatives of the farmer.
The two young women who traveled an hour to watch the episode with the breeder contrast with Noémie’s critical eye. “It’s so you, we really recognize you, like in real life”, marvels Laurène in front of the pixelated reflection of her friend.
Since the start of the broadcast of the images, the filming of which began just a year ago, Noémie has been the target of criticism from many Internet users who comment on the episodes on social networks. Too demanding, endowed with too loud a laugh, outside the canons of feminine beauty… She learned to ignore these negative opinions. “Seeing myself on the screen I understand that some things can go wrong but it’s not said with wickedness, comments the farmer. I’m like that, a little raw but it looks like me. »
A misinterpreted ventrigliss
After a first sporting event for Romain and Gaël, under the curious gaze of Noémie’s cows, heading for the speed dating of the atypical Alain. “When I watch myself on the show, I have the impression that my sequences last two seconds and it’s already over”, is surprised the farmer.
But it did not take long for drone images over the Jura to announce the return to the Franche-Comté farm. The suitors are now preparing to indulge in a team belly slip competition to get an appointment with her.
The young woman dreads seeing these images, broadcast on social networks the same morning and having generated their share of very critical comments. “Some say I organized this game to make fun of my suitors, that’s not true. My friends had organized the Olympics without my knowledge and frankly, we had a great time,” recalls Noémie. Her friends confirm and the three companions finish in a general giggle at the falls that the images bring back to their memory.
Notification Concert
11:15 p.m. It is finally Romain who wins the Olympics in the general euphoria, closing the episode of Love is in the meadow. The three friends grab their smartphones. The small machines light up in a concert of vibrations. “It’s hard to be friends with a star anyway,” laughs Laurène. Before their eyes, notifications alert of messages, tags and other mentions of Noémie on social networks.
As every time an episode ends, these are benevolent messages that land in the inbox of the farmer, exploding his number of unread messages and his counter of followers. Some salute her naturalness, others wish her to find what suits her in love. “It’s always like that after a broadcast. People are too cute, it’s nice! »
Noémie ensures that she responds to all messages, except those who ask her to reveal the outcome of her adventure on M6. “Today, I will probably be up until midnight to answer everyone,” she predicts.

Barely standing, Chloé and Laurène put on their shoes and jackets. By car, they will have to swallow the hour’s drive that will take them home. “I’m going to get some raclette and we’ll do it again in a fortnight? asks Chloe before walking through the door.
“I said that I was starting my diet tonight but that will wait until the end of the broadcast,” concludes Noémie in response, both resigned and impatient. She closes the door. From 7:15 a.m., the farmer will be with her animals again. Like an eternal reminder that it’s not just love that’s in the meadow.
