Cristiano Ronaldo decides crime in Manchester

Whistles, two goals behind and bad-tempered stars: it was uncomfortable for Manchester United at halftime. But then the “Red Devils” turned up.

Manchester United turned two-goal deficit in the Champions League and defeated Atalanta 3-2 (0-2). Marcus Rashford (53rd), Harry Maguire (75th) and Cristiano Ronaldo (81st) ensured the Red Devils’ second victory in Group F. There they also took the lead with six points. Mario Pasalic (15th) and Merih Demiral (29th) had put Bergamo, who had to do without the injured German international Robin Gosens, in the lead in the first round.

In Group H, Juventus Turin celebrated their third win in their third game. The Italian champions won 1-0 (0-0) at Zenit St. Petersburg and made a big step towards the knockout phase. Dejan Kulusevski (86th) scored the decisive goal.

Defending champion Chelsea FC also won a victory. Thomas Tuchel’s team defeated the still goalless and pointless Malmö FF 4-0 (2-0) and jumped to second place with six points. Andreas Christensen (9th), Jorginho (21st and 57th / foul penalty) and Kai Havertz (48th) let the Blues cheer in rainy weather. However, two stars had to be replaced injured.

In the second group G game with VfL Wolfsburg, Sevilla FC and French champions OSC Lille drew goalless. Wolfsburg slipped to fourth place.
