The previously convicted owner of a tattoo shop in Dresden has been arrested. The accusations made by many women against him are serious.

The operator of a tattoo studio in Dresden is said to have sexually assaulted several clients during treatment. According to a statement, the Dresden public prosecutor’s office has filed charges against the 53-year-old German for two counts of rape and 18 counts of particularly serious sexual assault. The man has a “significant and relevant” criminal record and was on probation at the time of the crime.

He was arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 20-year-old while tattooing her. The young woman was surprised by this, but did not defend herself against the man with the tattoo needle in his hand, a spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office said. The man has been in custody since then.

During the investigations by the police and public prosecutor, other customers of the studio reported similar experiences. The accused did not provide any information about the charges. The Dresden Regional Court will now decide whether to accept the charges.
