Because the alleged perpetrators in the case of the killed twelve-year-old from Freudenberg are children, nothing is known about the background to the crime. There is even wilder speculation on social media.

Barely a week after the violent death of twelve-year-old Luise from Freudenberg, the police and public prosecutor feel compelled to take the offensive against false reports.

“Due to the broad interest of the public and the associated sympathy, rumors about the alleged background of the incident keep coming up,” criticized the Siegen-Wittgenstein district police authority in a statement.

“Obviously there is speculation, especially on social media, that does not match the current status of the investigation.” The investigating authorities expressly asked not to be involved “and not to fuel the discussions about the background to the incident, also to protect the relatives”.

Two girls aged 12 and 13 confessed to stabbing Luise to death on March 11 in a forest on the border of Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia. With reference to the privacy protection of the victim and the underage suspected perpetrators, the investigators are very reluctant to provide information about the crime.
