The sequel to the star-studded crime thriller launches on Netflix in December. Under the motto “Nothing brings friends together like a killer party”, the streaming service is now releasing a trailer.

A murder, eccentric guys, many suspects and in the middle Daniel Craig as private detective Benoit Blanc: With a trailer, Netflix agrees on the continuation of the star-studded crime comedy “Knives Out – Murder is a Family Matter”.

“Nothing brings friends together like a killer party,” the streaming service wrote on Twitter for the video clip, which was clicked more than three million times in a short time. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery premieres on Netflix December 23. Before that, the thriller should also come to numerous cinemas for a week from November 23rd.

Director Rian Johnson has moved the crime scene to a luxury villa on a Greek island. There, a tech billionaire (Edward Norton) has invited his closest friends to a mystery party where the guests are supposed to play detective when a real murder suddenly happens. Joining Craig and Norton are Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista, among others. This is no longer a game, detective Blanc (Craig) warns those present.

Johnson had the original film Knives Out, starring Craig, Christopher Plummer, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don Johnson and Ana de Armas in the style of an Agatha Christie crime thriller, in 2019 for a bargain price of $40 million in the US state Massachusetts shot. The crime thriller grossed more than $311 million worldwide. Netflix then secured the rights to two sequels.
