Concern about pop singer Tony Marshall: The 83-year-old is being treated in a hospital after a corona illness. According to the family, Marshall is not in intensive care.

Pop singer and entertainer Tony Marshall (83, “The Last Dream”) is recovering from Covid in the hospital. His family confirmed to the German press agency that he is on the mend and is not receiving intensive treatment.

His wife Gabriele was also sick. While Tony Marshall is still being accompanied as an inpatient due to a previous illness, the 83-year-old has cured the disease with a mild course in home care and has recovered.

The couple’s three adult children are “grateful that this vaccination protection exists and are convinced that the infection could have taken a completely different course without vaccination”. With the media pressure of the past few days, she explained that the family made the corona infection public. On behalf of the artist, the family thanked everyone for their sympathy, but appealed to everyone – especially the media – to allow Marshall some time to recover.

Marshall, born in Baden-Baden, became famous in 1971 with the hit “Schöne Maid”. He is a trained opera singer, but stayed true to the hit. The entertainer released around 120 singles, appeared at thousands of events and hosted around 40 TV shows.
