The US Secretary of State warns against traveling to Germany due to the current Corona situation. The new notice has level 4 – this is the highest level that equates to an urgent warning. There are also warnings against traveling to Denmark.
The State Department in Washington urgently warns US citizens not to travel to Germany because of the high number of corona infections. “In view of Covid-19, do not travel to Germany,” said the ministry’s travel advice published on Monday.
The new reference to Germany has level 4 – this is the highest level that equates to a strong warning.
Also warning against traveling to Denmark
The State Department for Denmark published a similar travel warning “because of the very high extent of Covid-19”.
Conversely, Germany only removed the USA from the list of Corona high-risk areas in mid-November. This eliminated the quarantine regulations for travelers returning from the United States. In early November, after a year and a half of extensive entry bans, the United States opened its borders to vaccinated foreign nationals.
