US authorities approve mix of vaccines and corona boosters

WHO: One billion corona vaccinations in the Europe region

According to the World Health Organization WHO, around one billion corona vaccinations have been administered in the Europe region. “This is a great achievement,” said WHO Europe Regional Director Hans Kluge. According to the WHO, around a third of the region is vaccinated. Nevertheless, to contain the pandemic, the willingness to vaccinate must be increased and regional differences overcome, said Kluge. A nationwide vaccination rate of 70 percent is still the goal to contain the crisis.
