Coronavirus – 615 new infections within 24 hours. – District of Munich

The Omikron wave hit the district of Munich with ever greater force: within 24 hours, the seven-day incidence rose from 439 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants to 536.2. From Tuesday to Wednesday alone, 615 new cases from the district were reported to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). This means that 3385 residents are currently infected. Most new infections are reported from Unterhaching (52), Ottobrunn and Ismaning (46 each) and Unterschleißheim (42), the fewest from Pullach (9) and Baierbrunn (2). For comparison: a week ago the incidence was 217.3, at that time 760 people were infected. At the turn of the year the incidence in the district was 165.0. The sudden sharp increase in the incidence and number of cases is also due to fewer tests and delayed reports about the turn of the year.
