There has never been so much vaccine. The world produced a quantity of Covid vaccines in the past year that was twice the quantity of all other vaccines combined. Around a billion doses of vaccine against Covid-19 now leave the factories every month. And yet, like the previous milestones, the world will miss its goal of having at least 70 percent of the population in every country with primary immunization by mid-year. It is already becoming apparent that around 100 countries will not reach this quota, researchers write of the Global Health Innovation Center of the American Duke University.
