The stricter corona requirements seem to be starting to take effect in the district. The number of infections has not increased as much as on the previous days: For Tuesday, the health department gives the number of newly infected people registered in the district as 131, after 155 people on Friday and 162 on Thursday. Of course, due to the incubation period, it will take days to weeks before the trend also has a positive effect on the corona ward in the clinic. However, the death toll with Covid findings has risen by two – two men aged 73 and 81 have died. In eight of the newly reported cases, there are indications of a vaccination breakthrough. Two of them are in need of inpatient treatment due to corona. There are currently no new positive cases at schools in the district, combined with quarantine measures for entire classes. Nevertheless, the health department reports seven schools in the district in which one pupil has tested positive (in two schools there was one case in two different classes).
