In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the authorities have registered 3,972 new corona infections since Sunday. 99 of the Covid patients are being treated in intensive care units across the country. The seven-day incidence of new infections drops to 2,459.6, the state hospitalization incidence is 11.7. With the new state ordinance, the risk-weighted step map with the Corona warning light is no longer applicable.
The number of registered new corona infections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has increased by 3,972 cases since Sunday (as of Monday 5:31 p.m.). That’s 264 fewer cases than a week ago. The number of deaths is 1,911 (+10).

According to LAGuS, as of Monday, 3,248,885 vaccine doses have been administered in the north-east. Accordingly, 1,196,698 people have been vaccinated at least once and are thus partially immunized (vaccination rate 74.3 percent). 1,195,849 people are basic immunized, i.e. double vaccinated (vaccination rate 74.2 percent). 906,386 people received a booster vaccination (vaccination rate 56.3 percent).
Hospitalization incidence is 11.7
With the new state ordinance, the risk-weighted level map with the Corona warning light and the applicable protective measures are no longer applicable. The incidence value of corona patients brought to a clinic for treatment within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants is 11.7 (+0.9). According to figures from LAGuS and the Ministry of Health, 801 (+41) people are currently being treated in hospitals nationwide for Covid 19 disease. According to LAGuS, 99 (-2) of them are in an intensive care unit. According to the intensive care register (as of Monday 5:05 p.m.), 45 (+1) patients are being ventilated invasively.
Highest hospitalization incidence in Western Pomerania-Greifswald
The district of Vorpommern-Greifswald has the highest incidence of hospitalization at 19.5. This is followed by Western Pomerania-Rügen with 16.0, the Mecklenburg Lake District with 15.5, Schwerin with 12.6, the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim with 9.4, the district of Rostock with 7.4, Rostock with 6.2 and Northwest Mecklenburg with 3.8.
New infection incidence in the district of Rostock at 3,473.0
The seven-day new incidence falls to 2,462.8 (-3.2) in the country. The district of Rostock has the highest incidence of new infections with 3,473.0, the lowest in the Mecklenburg Lake District with 1,274.9. Since December 2021, the LAGuS has no longer reported the incidence broken down into vaccinated and unvaccinated people because the data would be “incomplete” due to the data being transmitted too late.

952 new infections in the city of Rostock
The city of Rostock reports the most newly infected people with 952 cases. Western Pomerania-Greifswald (827), the district of Rostock (651), Northwest Mecklenburg (452), the Mecklenburg Lake District (344), Schwerin (282) and Western Pomerania-Rügen (254) follow.
Seven-day incidence in 6- to 11-year-olds rises to 6,020 in MV
LAGuS has not published any separate school and day-care center figures since January. Instead, there is a status report that is broken down by age group. According to this, there are (as of Monday 11:15 a.m.) 68 new infections nationwide among 0 to 5 year olds, the seven-day incidence of new infections in this group is 2,525. In the group of 6 to 11 year olds there are 128 new infections, the incidence is 5,110. According to LAGuS, 125 young people between the ages of 12 and 17 were also infected in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The seven-day incidence in this group is 4,920. The regional leader is the group of 6 to 11 year olds in the district of Rostock with an incidence of 7,570.
The LAGuS reports 63 active cases of infection (-11) from the geriatric care facilities. 1,160 residents (-166) and 568 employees (-100) are affected.
