In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the authorities have registered 3,569 new corona infections since Monday. 68 of the Covid patients are being treated in intensive care units nationwide. The seven-day incidence of new infections drops to 1,188.1, the national hospitalization incidence is 7.1.

The number of registered new corona infections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has increased by 3,569 cases since Monday (as of Tuesday 5:59 p.m.). That’s 2,445 fewer cases than a week ago. The number of deaths is 2,089 (+12).

According to LAGuS, as of Tuesday, 3,295,078 doses of vaccine had been administered in the north-east. Accordingly, 1,198,462 people have been vaccinated at least once and are thus partially immunized (vaccination rate 74.4 percent). 1,200,234 people (vaccination rate 74.5 percent) are basic immunized, i.e. double vaccinated or recovered and vaccinated. 921,098 people received a booster vaccination (vaccination rate 57.2 percent).

Hospitalization incidence is 7.1

With the new state ordinance, the risk-weighted map with the Corona warning light and the applicable protective measures has been omitted since March. The incidence value of corona patients brought to a clinic for treatment within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants is 7.1 (-0.9). According to figures from LAGuS and the Ministry of Health, 570 (-28) people are currently being treated in a hospital nationwide for Covid 19 disease. According to LAGuS, 68 (+2) of them are in an intensive care unit. According to the intensive care register (as of Tuesday 5:05 p.m.), 23 (+-0) patients are being ventilated invasively.

Highest hospitalization incidence in Western Pomerania-Greifswald

The district of Vorpommern-Greifswald has the highest incidence of hospitalization at 11.0. It is followed by Ludwigslust-Parchim with 9.4, the Mecklenburg Lake District with 7.8, Western Pomerania-Rügen with 7.5, the district of Rostock with 6.9, Northwest Mecklenburg with 5.1, the city of Rostock with 3.3 and Schwerin 2.1.

New infection incidence in Ludwigslust-Parchim at 1,512.9

The seven-day incidence of new infections nationwide falls to 1,188.1 (-156.8). Ludwigslust-Parchim has the highest value with 1,512.9, the lowest Vorpommern-Rügen with 876.3. The Ludwigslust-Parchim district reports the most newly infected people with 885 new cases. It is followed by the district of Rostock (823), the city of Rostock (494), Western Pomerania-Greifswald (480), the Mecklenburg Lake District (434), Schwerin (239), Western Pomerania-Rügen (211) and Northwest Mecklenburg (3).

Seven-day incidence in 12- to 17-year-olds at 2,075

LAGuS has not published any separate school and day-care center figures since January. Instead, there is a status report that is broken down by age group. According to this, as of Tuesday, there were 71 new infections nationwide among 0 to 5 year olds, the seven-day incidence of new infections in this group was 1,028. In the group of 6 to 11 year olds there are 142 new infections, the incidence is 1,851. In addition, 117 young people between the ages of 12 and 17 were infected in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, according to LAGuS. The seven-day incidence in this group is 2,075. The regional leader is the group of 6 to 11 year olds in Schwerin with an incidence of 2,731.

The LAGuS reports 62 active cases of infection from the geriatric care facilities (-2). 1,056 residents (-67) and 557 employees (+3) are affected.
