Corona in Ebersberg – Without gloss and mulled wine – Ebersberg

A mulled wine with friends between twinkling lights, stands with Christmas decorations, contemplative music – many people look forward to this in the Advent season. And just a few weeks ago, the organizers were also optimistic that after the gloomy pre-Christmas period last year, the Christmas markets could take place in the district this time – of course, in compliance with the Corona rules. But the virus is also throwing a spanner in the works this year, most of the Christmas markets have already been canceled. And even one who has not yet been deleted from the festivities calendar may be on the verge of failure.

Poing was one of the first parishes to announce hopefully that they wanted to try again this year with the Christmas market. But on Wednesday evening, the club cartel made the decision with a heavy heart to cancel the event that was planned for the first weekend in Advent. “The effort would have been too great,” says Second Mayor Reinhard Tonollo. If a market had been organized under 2G conditions, construction fences would not only have had to be erected all around, but also had to be organized in sufficient quantities first. Security personnel would also have been required. But even then, the organizer could not have guaranteed that there would not be potentially dangerous crowds and infections. “We don’t put on the shoe,” says Tonollo. The situation was already “borderline” on market Sunday, so this decision has now been made. The clubs and stand operators were informed in advance that the acceptance for the market was still subject to change.

In Ebersberg it has long been decided that the leisurely stroll through Marienplatz will have to be canceled again in 2021. The local association Ebersberg of the Federation of Independent Bavarians has decided, together with Mayor Ulrich Proske (independent) and the organizers, not to organize a Christmas market this Advent. “Even with a view to the sluggish vaccination progress, the organizing association of the self-employed and the organizers do not see themselves in a position to guarantee compliance with the necessary requirements for the Christmas market, which is carried out without exception with volunteers,” BdS boss Stephan Scharnagl and Willi Bockler from Ebersberger organizing team with. This is how the colleagues of the Markt Schwabener Winter Spectacle, which should have taken place on the second weekend of Advent, see it: It has long been deleted from the calendar of events.

In Anzing and Grafing, the fun will be suspended again this year. This was announced by the mayor of Anzingen, Kathrin Alte, and the Grafing advertising ring. “Unfortunately, due to the increasing numbers, we do not see any possibility of offering the market in such a way that the visitors are adequately protected without considerable additional organizational effort,” said Alte, who says she very much regrets the cancellation and hopes to see you again in the coming year. In Grafing, the decision was preceded by several long meetings before the decision was made that the largest and longest Christmas market in the district will not open its doors this year.

The decision in Pliening was also made: “Due to the worrying development of the corona incidence figures, Mayor Frick, in his responsibility as mayor and person, also in the interests of all those involved, decided to cancel the Christmas market planned for December 4, 2021”, read the commune announced on Thursday. After all, Pliening wants to offer its “Advent Magic”, like last year, a walk to festively decorated houses in the community.

In Vaterstetten, at the end of last week, there was still some hope that the market might take place – this year it is to move from the Baldham market square, which is not loved by guests and stand operators, to the church forecourt in Vaterstetten. The opening is planned for November 26th – should the community not back down after all. The final decision will be made this Monday, it said from the town hall.
