Corona in Bavaria: incidence remains almost unchanged – Bavaria

Incidence almost constant

Tuesday, September 7th, 7.13 a.m .: The incidence value in Bavaria rose to 77.5 on Tuesday. According to the Robert Koch Institute, it was 77.4 on Monday. The hospital traffic light, which is now more relevant in the Free State and shows the burden of Covid patients in the clinics, remains on green. According to the information, there are 1032 new cases in the Free State.

The city of Rosenheim has slipped below the 200 mark and is now at 191.9. The district of Rosenheim has a significantly higher value than in the past few days at 159.3. 19 of the 96 districts and independent cities now have a value over 100. The district of Bayreuth reports the lowest value with 3.9. The incidence in the state capital Munich is 56.4.

Söder defends relaxed quarantine rules in Bavaria’s schools

Monday, September 6th, 3:27 p.m .: Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) defends the relaxation of the quarantine rules in schools in Bavaria in the event of proven corona infections. “It is wrong to quarantine entire classes for 14 days, a maximum of five, a maximum of the environment,” said the CSU boss on Monday in his speech at the political morning pint at the Gillamoos festival in Abensberg, Lower Bavaria. With certain measures, the quarantine could even be omitted entirely, for example if there were air purifiers in the class concerned and all students were tested daily for a week. “I don’t want a lockdown for business and society Back door. Dear friends, now we have to make an effort, “said Söder. Bavaria has “set a standard” with its latest Corona regulation.

Söder again appealed to a high willingness to vaccinate and referred to the advantages for those who have been vaccinated – both for their own health protection and for the fight against the pandemic. For example, vaccinated students would no longer have to be tested. “We don’t want a compulsory vaccination, I say that explicitly. Not through the back door, through the front door or through the revolving door. It doesn’t matter.” But if you don’t want to be vaccinated, you have to make the decision.

Incidence increases at the beginning of the week

Monday, September 6th, 7.15 a.m .: The incidence value in Bavaria has risen to 77.4. According to the Robert Koch Institute on Monday, there are 918 new cases in the Free State. The city of Rosenheim is still above the 200 mark and has a seven-day incidence of 206.0. This is followed by the cities of Augsburg (162.9) and Kaufbeuren (161.2). The district of Bayreuth reports the lowest value with 7.7. The state capital Munich showed a value of 62.4 on Friday. The corona traffic light, which shows the burden of Covid patients in Bavarian hospitals, is green.

Hospital traffic light green, incidence high

Sunday, September 5th, 8.15 a.m .: The seven-day incidence in Bavaria continues to rise steadily: the Robert Koch Institute reports 75.9 on Sunday. The value is still an indicator of how much infections with the coronavirus are spreading, it no longer has an impact on measures and thus the everyday life of most people. The hospital traffic light in Bavaria has been deciding on this since Friday; it indicates how bed occupancy is going in clinics – and the situation there is comparatively relaxed, the traffic light is green. The current daily value can be found on the website of the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL).

For a few days, a distinction has also been made there in the incidence value – between vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Accordingly, the value for the unvaccinated part of the population is currently 158.75, for people with a full corona vaccination, however, only 11.27. What does that mean? That infection with the virus can still occur despite vaccination – but much less often. And, this in turn is noticeable at the hospital traffic light, it is far less often that completely vaccinated people with corona infection end up in the hospital.

Vaccinated students no longer need to be tested for class

Friday, September 3, 5:40 p.m .: Vaccinated children and adolescents no longer have to take the corona test at school. “Those who are fully vaccinated no longer have to be tested in school and, as a rule, no longer have to be in quarantine if they are in close contact with infected classmates or friends,” said Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) on Friday at a press conference with doctors’ representatives in Munich .

He called on everyone over the age of twelve to be vaccinated before the end of the vacation. “There is still enough time to start the first week of school with the first vaccination. This can also reduce the risk of infection for classmates.”

The number of infections among children is currently increasing, according to Holetschek. At the end of August, according to the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL), the incidences in the age group of 12 to 15 year olds were around 130 and in the age group of 16 to 19 year olds around 192. Currently, 29.8 in Bavaria are Percent of 12 to 17 year olds first vaccinated and 21.9 percent second vaccinated.

Markus Beier, the state chairman of the Bavarian General Practitioner Association, said: “Unfortunately, the number of infections and hospital admissions for unvaccinated and young people are increasing again significantly. Children and adolescents can also best be protected by a vaccination.”

Dominik Ewald, state chairman of the professional association of paediatricians, emphasized that children are less likely to get Corona and that they rarely come to the hospital. “All the data indicate that the approved vaccines are also safe for adolescents.”
