Christian Drosten is still wearing his coat when he climbs the steps to the federal press conference hall, a beginner’s mistake. The photographers now want to take pictures, after all, the trio that has gathered here is seen together for the first time today: Drosten, the chief virologist at the Berlin Charité, Lothar Wieler, the President of the Robert Koch Institute, and Karl Lauterbach, the Federal Minister of Health. Together they are the three most prominent Germans explaining the pandemic, so a photo is needed. But now everyone has to wait, because Drosten still has to get rid of his coat somewhere.
