He had created a fake profile on a site that offers sexual encounters. But the rest of the scenario was quite different. On Tuesday, an 18-year-old young man was tried in Rennes for “extortion with violence” after having trapped two men via this scheme, in April in Ille-et-Vilaine, according to the newspaper West France.
The first tried to flee when he discovered the pot of roses. Caught by the respondent and his accomplice, he was hit with a truncheon and relieved of his phone and 200 euros. The second, threatened, was stripped of 300 euros.
The young man, who explained that he needed money, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, including 12 months suspended, reports the daily. His accomplice, a minor, will be summoned before the juvenile court.
