In politics, misfortune often comes unexpectedly, but Klara Geywitz can at least prepare for it: Tuesday will not be a good day for her. In the morning, the Federal Statistical Office will announce how many apartments have actually been built in Germany in 2022 – or rather, how few. The number will probably be less than 300,000, and she will therefore spend the whole day giving the federal building minister from the SPD what she doesn’t particularly like: public attention.
