Consoles – Microsoft brings “Call of Duty” to Nintendo – Economy

Nintendo console owners will also be able to play the popular Call of Duty game series in the future. Microsoft has committed to releasing the popular first-person shooter for Nintendo platforms in the next ten years, Microsoft gaming boss Phil Spencer wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. Nintendo confirmed the information without giving any further details. Microsoft President Brad Smith tweeted his willingness to make a similar deal with Playstation maker Sony. “If Sony wants to sit down and talk to us, we’re more than willing to negotiate a ten-year deal for Playstation as well.” Microsoft’s planned $69 billion takeover of Call of Duty maker Activision had raised concerns among regulators that it could hurt competition. Sony has even called for a ban on the takeover.
