Company – Change at Nestlé – Economy

A change in management is imminent at Nestlé: Marc-Aurel Boersch, CEO of Nestlé Deutschland AG, is leaving the company of his own volition, Nestlé announced on Tuesday. Boersch, 54, has been in charge of the Swiss group’s German business since 2019. He decided to “end his professional career earlier to find more time for new, private perspectives,” it said. He is to be succeeded by Alexander von Maillot, currently jointly responsible for the global confectionery and ice cream business. He has worked for the Group in various positions since 1996. At Nestlé, it is common for executive positions to be filled from within the company. Still Germany boss Boersch expanded Nestlé’s vegan and vegetarian range and pushed ahead with the reduction of sugar and fat in recipes. He became known through a video with the former Minister of Agriculture Julia Klöckner (CDU). In it, the politician praised the not uncontroversial group for its progress in terms of healthy nutrition and then had to take a lot of criticism.
