Commerzbank: The state has to go – economy

Jens Weidmann is undoubtedly suitable to take over the chairmanship of the supervisory board of Commerzbank. As the head of the Bundesbank for many years, he has a feel for the capital markets and is sufficiently familiar with financial supervision. He was also right in the middle of the financial crisis as economic policy advisor to Angela Merkel, which was also valuable experience. In this respect, it is a pleasing personal feature for Commerzbank – even if Weidmann still has to acquire some practical experience in the banking business.
