Christiane Paul, Christoph Maria Herbst and director Florian Gallenberger know how to sing an entertaining song in this tragic comedy that life can be damned painful, especially in its midst.
Based on the bestseller by Maxim Leo and Jochen Gutsch, Gallenberger tells of a middle-aged couple who only seem to have been united in great happiness and who finally decided to split up temporarily. Not only autumn is great, Christiane Paul is great. “It’s just a phase, rabbit” succeeds again and again in amusing way to prick exactly the wounds that usually go hand in hand with such a life or partnership crisis.
