Collective bargaining – Post employees demand 15 percent more – Economy

The Verdi union is demanding 15 percent more wages for around 160,000 employees at Deutsche Post. That was decided by the responsible Verdi collective bargaining committee. “Our members expect inflation compensation and also a share in the company’s success,” said Verdi negotiator Andrea Kocsis. The employees have worked under extreme pressure in recent years and also need this significant wage increase in order to be able to secure their livelihood. According to the Commission’s ideas, training allowances and student salaries should also be increased. The collective agreement is to have a term of twelve months. Verdi has terminated the previous fee regulation at Swiss Post as of December 31, 2022.
