Coinbase CEO reveals! US legislature It is focusing on regulatory clarity in the Crypto space.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong reportedly said that U.S. lawmakers are focusing on regulatory clarity in the crypto space after talks with key officials.

As reported by Axios on July 24, Armstrong have metwith US lawmakers on July 20 ahead of a debate and vote on legislation aimed at providing regulatory clarity around digital assets. The Coinbase CEO reportedly said that the court’s decision in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s lawsuit against Ripple “sets the tone of the lawsuit.” There was a “great rush” among members of Congress.

“Representative Patrick McHenry is committed to legislation,” Armstrong said. “Maxine Waters is deliberate as far as I can tell. […] I think the Ripple case creates a lot of urgency. The same is true of the Bitcoin ETF filings we have seen recently from Blackrock, Fidelity and other major financial services firms.”

Currently, there are several crypto and blockchain-related bills being discussed in the House of Representatives and Senate. These include the Financial Innovation and Technology Act for the 21st Century, the Responsible Financial Innovation Act, the Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act, and the Digital Asset Market Structure Bill.
