Again and again the FDP Ministers Buschmann and Wissing have to listen to criticism from the coalition partners. The FDP federal chairman describes the attacks as “cheap and extremely stupid”.

The deputy FDP federal chairman Wolfgang Kubicki has attacked the coalition partners SPD and Greens. Kubicki told the German Press Agency on Monday: “The increasing number of attacks against Ministers Marco Buschmann and Volker Wissing from the ranks of the SPD and Greens are not only fairly cheap, but extremely stupid.”

Anyone who thinks they have to distract attention from the weaknesses of their own ministers in this way has a serious problem themselves. “Or is Economics Minister (Robert) Habeck saving the climate by reactivating coal-fired power plants instead of continuing to use nuclear energy? Is Minister (Klara) Geywitz building the announced 400,000 apartments per year after all? Who would build more apartments – that applies above all for Berlin – he doesn’t have to fiddle around with tenancy law,” said Kubicki.

According to the FDP deputy, the impression is getting stronger that the coalition partners no longer want to solve certain problems because they fear that they will lose their own right to exist politically. “I’m therefore warning the SPD and the Greens: It can’t go on like this.”

Minister of Transport Wissing has been criticized for wanting to build motorways faster. The Greens in particular reject this. There are allegations against Justice Minister Buschmann regarding tenancy law. The SPD had spoken of some construction sites and mentioned the extension of the rental price brake.

On the ongoing dispute over the issue of traffic, Kubicki said: “I expect the coalition partners to stop the chimera that increasing car traffic would ruin the CO2 balance, which is why road construction should be limited. Because the problem isn’t the traffic, it’s the drives. ” Even climate-neutral cars need roads. “In order to make decisive progress in terms of climate policy, we must also pave the way for e-fuels as quickly as possible and not prevent road construction.”
