Party for another weekend, then the lights in the Berlin clubs go out again! On Friday, the Senate will hold a special meeting to discuss the implementation of the federal resolutions for the capital. One thing is already clear: the party is (for the time being) over!

The results of the Senate meeting in the Rotes Rathaus are to be announced around 11.30 a.m. The innkeepers in Berlin in particular should listen carefully. It is still unclear whether bars and pubs will also be affected by the closings.

Andrea Kuhn (71), head of the traditional bar “Green Door”: “I hope that I can count on my guests. We already have significantly fewer customers. But I think my bar will survive that.

A BZ request from the Senate Chancellery remained unanswered. The health administration said that bars and pubs were not on the draft resolution. However, the Senate could still decide otherwise …

Daniel Drazkewicz (18), student from Schöneberg: “I normally like to go to clubs, but that's no longer possible. Not for me anyway, because I'm not vaccinated. I'm not convinced yet and don't want to be vaccinated just to take part in everything. The new measures are not super cool for me, but currently there are no better solutions. I like 2G-plus or 3G

Berlin clubs about to close again – Corona incidence too high

► On the other hand, it is already clear for clubs and discos: By Tuesday at the latest, they will have to close their doors again for an indefinite period! Lutz Leichsenring from the Club Commission criticizes that one has no planning security and is not taken seriously by politicians.

It was offered that visitors even have to present a PCR test in the future. And: “There are no figures that prove that clubs are pandemic drivers,” said Leichsenring.

What has long been true in Berlin:

► 2G when shopping. Access to shops is restricted to vaccinated and convalescent people. Shops for daily needs, i.e. supermarkets, drugstores and pharmacies are excluded.

► 2G in theaters, cinemas and restaurants. Access only for vaccinated and convalescent people. In addition, tests could also be prescribed (2G-plus).
