Cindy, Claudia, Naomi – their first names were enough and everyone knew who was meant: the supermodels of the nineties. The Düsseldorf Art Palace is now celebrating the icons of that time with a large exhibition. “Captivate. Fashion Photography of the 90s” is the title of the show and was curated by Claudia Schiffer. She selected around 120 exhibits from well-known photographers and artists, which will take you back to a time that will probably never happen again.
“I fell in love with fashion in the 1980s, but it was in the 1990s that I realized what fashion really means. It was an intense and wonderful time (…). Photo shoots could go on for days and Fashion ruled the front pages for weeks, “Schiffer is quoted as saying in a press release on the exhibition.
The exhibition will open on September 15, 2021 and will run until January 9, 2022.
