They don’t want to stop there. The boss of senators LR Bruno Retailleau and the LR deputy of the Alpes-Maritimes Eric Ciotti asked their party this Wednesday to no longer support the candidacy of Renaud Muselier, who intends to include members of LREM in his list for the regional elections in Paca .

“We cannot ceaselessly trick our voters and come to terms with our convictions. We cannot be the passive witnesses of a presidential strategy intended to eliminate us ”, affirmed the deputy of Vendée. He was one of five to vote last week against Republican support for the outgoing president of Paca.

“Shame” and “sadness”

“I will not support Renaud Muselier’s list and I also call on him to withdraw LR support,” said Eric Ciotti, who is also the chairman of the party’s nomination committee. “Macron’s manipulation has succeeded thanks to the fragile convictions of a few for whom places take precedence over values”, he also declared on Twitter, saying his “shame” and his “sadness”.

Once again denying any “device agreement” with LREM, Renaud Muselier confirmed that his list would include members of LREM, but not Sophie Cluzel, candidate for the “presidential majority”, nor any other minister or parliamentarian. LR deputy for Vaucluse Julien Aubert said on FranceInfo that “there is no [sa] knowledge of parliamentarians The Republicans ”on the list of the outgoing president of Paca.
