Chrzanowski moves to the top of the Schwarz Group – Economy

Personnel:Chrzanowski moves to the top of the Schwarz group

The Schwarz Group, which also includes Lidl and Kaufland, is getting a new boss: Gerd Chrzanowski will take over the post at Europe’s largest grocer at the beginning of December, as planned after the 81-year-old owner Dieter Schwarz has been trained. The Schwarz Group announced this on Thursday in Neckarsulm. In the summer, Schwarz took over the executive chair himself at short notice because the manager Klaus Gehrig, who had previously been at the top, surprisingly resigned from his position. The 50-year-old Chrzanowski has already been confirmed as Gehrig’s successor. The change was announced last year. But so far no time for the change of office has been given. The future head of the Schwarz Group will then hand over the chairmanship of Lidl to his successor Kenneth McGrath on December 1st. Chrzanowski has been with the Schwarz Group for over 20 years.
