Child confirmed: Hannover 96 wants Fürth’s coach Leitl – does Kunze come from Arminia?

Clause end near

Hannover 96’s relegation is still not perfect after the 0:3 away defeat at Paderborn. Optimism that it is still only a matter of form seems to be based on numerous concrete planning rumors among the Reds. One of the speculations underpinned by managing director Martin Kind on Wednesday: Stefan Leitl should take over the coaching position and be able to present himself in a few days. The Greuther Fürth coach is reportedly set to bring a striker with him, while Arminia Bielefeld’s midfielder Fabian Kunze is also set to sign at 96.

Kind said about Coach Leitl on “Sport 1”: “We don’t have him yet, we would like to have him. We’re hopeful that we can pull this off, but there’s no final decision yet. We hope that everything will be clarified by the weekend.” Most recently, it was said that Leitl had an exit clause in his contract with “Kleeblatt”, which runs until 2023, but which is only valid until the end of the month. Accordingly, time is short for the Lower Saxony. Leitl’s deadline would be on Saturday, although of course he could already draw the clause without an agreement with the new club.

Note: This article appeared on Transfermarkt on Wednesday at 6:41 a.m. and was later updated with Kind’s statements.

The 23-year-old defensive player Kunze can meanwhile leave the Bielefelder Alm free of charge in the summer. Of the “table football“ assumes that the midfielder will sign in Hanover until 2025. The “picture‘ confirmed an approaching transfer success for Lower Saxony, who are said to be on the home straight with Bayern’s offensive loan (currently in Aue) Nicolas Kühn (22) and Holstein Kiel’s defender Phil Neumann (24).

Hannover 96: Leitl should come – and bring Nielsen from Fürth?

Regarding the coaching question, the “table footballreported that sports director Marcus Mann had reached an agreement with Leitl, which Kind at least defused on Wednesday. The cost of the exit clause is therefore 500,000 euros.

However, the coach should not be the only “cloverleaf” candidate at Maschsee. According to “Kicker”, striker Havard Nielsen (28) could also serve in Hanover and follow his coach after the Bundesliga relegation. The Norwegian, who is currently suffering from a torn muscle fibre, is only under contract until June and can move on a free transfer.

We can only dream of a striker with Bundesliga format. But we have a great need for a real(!) striker who has mastered the basic disciplines of the 2nd league and hits reliably. We don’t have one like that in the squad. Weydandt is technically far away from this level, Hinterseer has virtually no dynamic and Teuchert does not function as the only top. He needs someone next to him.
Nielsen will be 29 in the summer, and I expect a contract until 2024. I definitely rate him as over …

However, a commitment by Leitl would probably result in the departure of the former youth coach Christoph Dabrowski, who stepped in for the pros. “My path will continue in professional football,” quoted the “New press“ recently the 43-year-old. He says the work is “great fun, and I’m really up for it. That’s why the question doesn’t arise at the moment,” Dabrowski replied when asked whether he could imagine returning to the Lower Saxony youth academy. That means: Should Hannover decide against continuing the cooperation, Dabrowski and 96 should part ways in the summer after nine years for the time being. “Bock, to continue here” expressed the trainer again after the bankruptcy in Paderborn. “But I don’t make the decision.”
