For the first time, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco have to spend the national holiday without Mama Charlène. The twins made cute posters for them.

Traditionally, the Monegasque celebrate their national holiday on November 19th. For the royal family, this includes a parade of the guards in the castle courtyard, a church service and subsequent waving from the palace balcony. On this occasion, the younger generation of the Grimaldis and a growing crowd of children also show up. This year, Charlotte Casiraghi presented her son Balthazar for the first time.

But one thing is missing: Princess Charlène.

The 42-year-old recently returned from South Africa before leaving the principality a few days later. Prince Albert announced this shortly before the national holiday in an interview with the newspaper “Monaco Matin”. But Charlène is not forgotten, as her twins show the world with two self-made posters.

Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella stand on the balcony with Papa Albert, waving to the crowd and the press. Suddenly they pull out two posters. Jacques’ says: “We love you Mommy”. Gabriella holds up a poster that says “We miss you Mommy”. The princess will surely have seen the broadcast and will have been very happy.

Charlène von Monaco was separated from her children for months

This year, mom and children had to spend a lot of time apart from each other. In the spring, Charlène traveled to South Africa to support charitable organizations. According to the palace, a protracted ear infection prevented her from returning to her family in Monaco. It was only eight months and two visits from her children and Alberts to South Africa later that she was able to return to the principality.

She didn’t stay there long, however. The 62-year-old prince explained this by saying that his wife felt a “tiredness” that went beyond her physical health. You need peace and quiet now. They get them in a clinic, Albert told People magazine. She stayed there for several weeks. He did not address a diagnosis.

With the posters of her twins, a little joy will surely return to Charlène’s life.
