The 18 Bundesliga clubs are starting the decisive two matchdays with more excitement than they have in a long time. Much can still be done above and below. Bayern have the best starting position.

Two game days left. In this 2022/23 season, the Bundesliga offers more excitement than it has in a long time. In contrast to previous years, the master has not yet been determined. After the 33rd matchday, however, it could be time. Even at the bottom of the table, the fans have to fear final decisions.

Championship:

FC Bayern Munich goes into the penultimate matchday with a one-point lead over Borussia Dortmund. If Munich wins on Saturday (6.30 p.m. / Sky) and BVB loses on Sunday (5.30 p.m. / Sky) at FC Augsburg, FC Bayern is the champion on Sunday evening. In the event of a draw and/or a defeat by Bayern and/or a win by Dortmund, the title decision will be postponed to the 34th matchday.

Champions League:

RB Leipzig, third in the table, has the best chance of qualifying for the premier class early. With a win on Saturday (6.30 p.m. / Sky) at Bayern, the Saxons are sure to go through. In the event of a draw, only if fifth-placed SC Freiburg does not win against VfL Wolfsburg on Friday (8:30 p.m. / DAZN). In the event of a SC defeat, Leipzig is already certain as a Champions League participant before their own game.

1. FC Union Berlin moves into the premier class early if it scores at least one point at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky) and Freiburg has previously lost. If Freiburg gets a point, Union has to win in order to be mathematically overtaken by the sports club. If Freiburg wins, the final decision between the two clubs will not be made until the last day of the game.

Europa League and Conference League:

The allocation of places in the lower class European Cup competitions is more complicated. The decision also depends on the performance of Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League and Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB Cup. One thing is certain: the bottom of the table will not qualify for the European Cup via the league.

relegation battle:

Theoretically, the two direct relegated teams could be certain on the coming matchday. If Hertha BSC were to lose or draw against VfL Bochum, the club in the capital could no longer be saved, regardless of other results. VfB Stuttgart are sure to be relegated on Matchday 33 if they lose in Mainz while Schalke win against Frankfurt, Bochum at Hertha and Hoffenheim against Union.
