Fans are worried about Celine Dion: the singer has repeatedly had to postpone concerts on her tour. She also announces that she has been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder.

Singer Celine Dion continues to struggle with serious health problems. Therefore, some of their “Courage World Tour” concerts planned for early 2023 have to be postponed again. They are now scheduled to take place in spring 2024. The five Germany concerts in Cologne, Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and Mannheim are also affected. Eight appearances that were scheduled for summer 2023 were canceled without replacement. This applies, among other things, to concerts in Tel Aviv, Bucharest and Nyon.

Celine Dion suffers from stiff person syndrome

Dion published a video message on her Instagram channel in which she comments on her condition. The 54-year-old explains that she was recently diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a very rare neurological disease. This is the cause of the severe muscle cramps that the singer has been suffering from for a long time and that affect her everyday life. She sometimes has trouble walking and problems with her vocal cords. “It doesn’t allow me to sing like I’m used to,” says Dion.

She has a great team of doctors who are doing everything to ensure her speedy recovery. And her “beloved children” who support her and give her hope. She now has to concentrate fully on her health, that is her only focus. “I hope to see you all again soon,” Dion says at the end of her video in tears to her fans.

The singer had had to postpone her concerts several times. First because of the corona pandemic in 2020. A year later her health problems came along. Even then, Dion complained of severe and persistent muscle cramps. Now she apparently has a diagnosis for her condition – and hopes for a complete cure.
