Catholic Church – Pastor Semel leaves Haar – District of Munich

Pastor Thomas Semel is leaving the Haar parish association. He will take on new tasks in the archbishop’s ordinariate, where he will head the staff office for counseling and pastoral care for those affected by abuse. Semel will take on this task on June 1st. However, he will also be in charge of the Haar parish association until the end of August. According to the Archdiocese, Father Gabriel Budau will be working as parish administrator in Haar from October 1st. Budau is a member of the order of the Franciscan Minorites. The 41-year-old has previously worked as a pastor at Lake Chiemsee, where he heads the Chieming parish association and the Saint Francis of Assisi parish association in Bergen, Erlstätt, Grabenstätt and Vachendorf. Semel only moved to Haar from the parish association in Unterhaching in 2017.
