Chief judge and musician Dieter Bohlen does not want to know anything about a “crisis” in the anniversary season of “DSDS”. Nevertheless, there were disagreements between the judges of the casting show.

“Deutschland sucht den Superstar” chief judge Dieter Bohlen (68) is very satisfied with the way the anniversary season has gone so far.

“We were very happy about the high ratings at the beginning and will soon be talking about new formats. We are all looking very positively into the future,” said Bohlen of the German Press Agency. “I can only say that RTL is very satisfied. There is no crisis there.”

The most recently broadcast episodes of the 20th season reached around 2.8 million viewers. This does not include the viewing figures for the streaming service RTL+.

Bohlen over Krasavice: “Different settings”

In the past few weeks, differences of opinion within the “DSDS” jury had made headlines. Musician Katja Krasavice (26) rapped in a song towards Bohlen: “Today my ass is more relevant than any of your German superstars.”

The 68-year-old says: “We have two completely different attitudes. I say: “God put diligence before success. Do an apprenticeship, have a plan B.” She says: “Look here, I made it without an apprenticeship.” You have to accept that. But I hope that not many people take that as a role model.”

The 20th season of the casting show, which RTL had announced as the last, will run until April 15th. A day later, Bohlen goes on a tour of Germany, which ends in Cologne on May 7th.
