Years ago Horst Lichter said: “Waldi, you have to write a book.” He was actually thinking of a phrasebook, “German-Eiflerisch, Eiflerisch-Deutsch”. Writing a book was never really a thing for me. When Corona came, the topic was actually over for me. But then Rowohlt Verlag called my Holden and asked if I could imagine writing a book.
