Carole Delga urges her camp to embody the return of voluntarism in politics

For Carole Delga, policies should no longer suffer. The PS president of the Occitanie region wants for that the return of voluntarism in politics and “it is the left which must henceforth embody it”. In the Sunday Newspaper, she therefore calls her camp to “get back to work”.

The elected regional, who supports the presidential candidacy of the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, denounces in particular “unbridled free trade and without morals”. “The politician who has faded behind the economy to become its accountant must take the helm firmly,” she urges.

“A strong and efficient state”

“Then,” she continues in her forum, “this project must put the public interest back at the heart of our society, the only one capable of recreating the link between citizens. This public interest must be guaranteed by a strong and efficient State, which works hand in hand with everyday communities and citizens. And guaranteed, too, by the private sector ”.

Carole Delga also highlights the issue of ecological transition: “Either this transition is carried with courage by the left to do, the one who wants to reconcile economy and ecology, without rupture or brutality, and it can generate new social progress. and democratic; either the market does its work – or its avatars, such as vertical “simultaneously” or populism folded back on its identity rock while the sea rises, “she pleads. And to conclude: “That is to say, it will do nothing, and it will be synonymous with new inequalities and dangerous or even irreversible imbalances”.
