The car rental company Sixt also wants to get involved in the Canadian rental car market in the future. Stations in Vancouver and Toronto are to be opened in May and June, according to the Pullach-based company. They want to open their own company for the Canadian market. The car rental company plans to achieve a three to five percent market share in Canada by 2025/2026. Overall, there is a market potential of around 1.4 billion euros in the country. The potential of the two destinations Vancouver and Toronto alone corresponds to a third of the market volume in Italy with a total of around 400 million euros. In Vancouver one hopes for tourists, especially from Germany and Europe. Sixt has been active in the USA since 2011 and in Australia since 2021.
