Last week, the Munich police discovered more than a thousand rounds of nine-millimeter ammunition by chance. The 82nd police department, which is responsible for drug-related crime, originally had a 53-year-old man in its sights because he was said to have sold illegally produced cannabis as a medicinal product in a pharmacy in Moosach.
When the officers searched the man’s home in the Fürstenfeldbruck district, they found a total of 15 cannabis plants in an unsecured cultivation tent – and more than a thousand rounds of ammunition. The improperly stored and therefore immediately confiscated ammunition was attributed to the pharmacist’s 56-year-old brother; it is now being investigated whether he possessed it legally. He was reported for an offence under the Weapons Act, and his younger brother is being investigated for illegal cannabis trafficking.
