BVB: Erling Haaland apparently demands a mega salary
At BVB, Erling Haaland is currently earning around eight million euros a year. If he switched, he would probably reap a lot more in the future.
The future of Erling Haaland at BVB is open despite an ongoing contract. In the event of a farewell, the top scorer should apparently demand a mega salary.
As ESPN reports that Haaland is said to want to earn at least 30 million pounds (around 35 million euros) per year when switching next summer. For comparison: His estimated annual salary is currently eight million euros.
His contract in Dortmund runs until 2024. But several top clubs are allegedly vying for the services of the 21-year-old. Potential buyers include Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea FC and Real Madrid.
According to matching media reports, Haaland has a release clause of 75 million euros for the coming summer.
BVB-whereabouts of Haaland? Confident in charge
Most recently, those responsible for the black and yellow had been confident about a whereabouts. “We as Borussia Dortmund will do everything we can to keep Erling in Dortmund,” said Rose BVB’s Champions League game at Ajax Amsterdam (0: 4) at Amazon Prime. “I think that’s not unrealistic. We should take every chance.”
When asked whether Haaland could stay beyond the summer, Dortmund’s external advisor Matthias Sammer said: “The way I saw it, it is not necessarily impossible.”
Haaland moved from Red Bull Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund in January 2020. Since then, the Norwegian international has scored 70 goals in 69 competitive games for BVB.
