Bust against the bankruptcy club – sport

It was a bit like it used to be: The Reds were in the south of the Olympic Stadium, the Blues in the north, although the Reds only had a small handful of fans this time, who then also sang “Take off the Munich lederhosen” – fans of Turkish origin who have not lost their sense of humor despite the club’s imminent bankruptcy. It was the first game of TSV 1860 Munich since November 20th, in which there was a real mood from the stands, or better: mood could have come. Because the third division derby ended in front of 8,350 spectators – an estimated 8,000 of them blue – with a disgrace for the favorites: The insolvency-threatened league competitor Türkgücü Munich won 2: 1 (0: 0), and this result was okay.

For Türkgücü it was the first victory since mid-October. After the nine points for the application to open insolvency proceedings have not yet been deducted, the team is currently on a non-relegation zone. “I think we deserved to win,” said Türkgücü coach Andreas Heraf later magenta sport, the players were highly motivated, it was important “to present themselves because nobody knows what will happen next.” The Sixties have lost a game for the first time since captain Sascha Mölders left in early December. “It’s really painful today,” said Sechzig coach Michael Köllner, “technically it was a very bad game from us” in which we ran unnecessarily a lot.

Only a substitute loosens the knot in a nervous game

For the lions, this corona-related catch-up game was about finally catching up with the top of the table, for the Türkgücü players this game was probably the biggest showcase that the season still has to offer them. Maybe that’s why coach Andreas Heraf didn’t wear a club training jacket this time, but put on a chic coat with a chic scarf. And he had prepared his team well for the favourites: Türkgücü was well into the sixty-half at the beginning, which is why the game hardly developed and the lions kept losing the ball early on.

Türkgücü keeper Franco Flückiger was only tested after 22 minutes when he fished a shot from Yannick Deichmann out of the left corner. A little later, Dennis Dressel completed a long-range shot too hastily, and that was the end of a short sixty urge phase. On the other side, Albion Vrenezi had the best chance of the first half, when he left Quirin Moll with a hook inside and just missed the far corner (29th).

Even after the break, the hosts had the more dangerous degrees. After preliminary work by substitute Philip Türpitz, Albion Vrenezi hit the side netting (51′), Sixty’s Kevin Goden tested Flückiger (53′) with a shot that went too central. A substitute then untied the knot in what was overall a very nervous game: Eric Hottmann put the ball on himself and hit the edge of the penalty area with a side kick (77′). With this goal, Türkgücü could even take away the goal of the month from the sixties after Richard Neudecker scored a dream goal at SV Meppen (1-1) last Saturday.

Türkgücü used the rare space for a counterattack to decide, Hottmann won a somewhat controversial penalty, which substitute Sercan Sararer converted (85th). Neudecker managed to get the goal back in the 90th minute after a solo run, but just like in regular time, there was far too little in the stoppage time from sixty. “We don’t need to worry about promotion for the time being,” said Köllner. The sixties will now hope that Türkgücü will not be able to continue playing until the end of the season. Then all games would be taken out of the rating.

Despite the uncertain future, the players in the red jerseys celebrated with their supporters next to the south stand. It’s a different club than it used to be, but with so many cheering Reds, many Sixty fans knew why they had never really liked the Olympic Stadium.
