Burglar got into daycare – and cooked pasta
An unusual burglar concerns the police in southern Hesse. The man forced his way into a daycare center through a window, but apparently didn’t want to take anything with him.
A burglar broke into a daycare center in Gernsheim, Hesse. But he wasn’t interested in work computers or toys – he simply had an appetite. “In the kitchen of the daycare center he cooked pasta and cracked eggs,” the South Hesse police headquarters said on Tuesday. He did not prepare any other loot for transport. “We have no indication that he had anything else in mind,” a spokesman said.

Recently in Wales an unusual burglar was sentenced to prison (the star reported). He broke into several houses but didn’t steal anything either. Instead, the man hung out laundry, put away the resident’s groceries, cooked for himself and filled a bird feeder with food. The 36-year-old told the court that he was homeless during the break-ins and had “difficulties”. The Cardiff court sentenced him to 22 months in prison without parole, according to the BBC.
