She is 19 years old and the youngest German rapper to take first place in the singles charts: Badmómzjay has now been awarded the “Bunte New Faces Award Music”.
The rapper Badmómzjay was honored with the “Bunte New Faces Award Music” in Hamburg on Thursday. The 19-year-old prevailed against her two competitors, the singer-songwriter Leony and the artist Wilhelmine, as a spokeswoman for the organizers announced.
In addition to “Bunte” editor-in-chief Robert Pölzer, the jury also included last year’s “Bunte New Faces” winner, Zoe Wees (19), the singer Sasha (49) and the actress and singer Jasmin Wagner (41).
Badmómzjay alias Jordan Napieray grew up in Berlin and Brandenburg an der Havel and finished secondary school, according to the “Bunte” editorial team. She is the youngest German rapper to have taken first place in the singles charts.
In the song “Ohne Dich” she appears together with the Berlin German rapper Kasimir1441. The young artist with dyed red hair is supported by her mother in business. The former geriatric nurse is the managing director of her label.
