According to a media report, VfB Stuttgart found a successor to coach Pellegrino Matarazzo, who was sacked in October, shortly after parting ways with sporting director Sven Mislintat.

As the “t-online” portal reported, Bruno Labbadia is to become the new coach of the Bundesliga club. The relegation-threatened Table-16. didn’t want to comment on this.
VfB Stuttgart had previously announced that they wanted to present timely solutions in the search for both a new sports director and a head coach. “VfB will make the necessary personnel decisions by the start of training on December 12 in order to start the second half of the season with a strong team,” wrote the Swabian Bundesliga club in a club statement on the separation from Mislintat. VfB had already parted ways with head coach Matarazzo in October. Caretaker coach Michael Wimmer is a possible alternative for the head coach position.
The 56-year-old Labbadia had already looked after VfB Stuttgart from 2010 to 2013. Most recently, the former national player was Hertha BSC coach for nine months until the end of January 2021.
