Bundesliga: BVB loses in Leipzig, FC Bayern wins against Freiburg – Sport

RB Leipzig – Borussia Dortmund 2: 1 (1: 0), Goals: 1-0 Nkunku (29th), 1: 1 Reus (52nd), 2: 1 Poulsen (68th)

If anyone is still looking for pictures for the year in review, here they are. Leipzig against Dortmund, minute 64 of a real spectacle, attack RB over the left. When the ball comes to Christopher Nkunku, the man from Leipzig puts on an absolutely remarkable scene: a pirouette with a ball passer in the sixteenth, Dortmund is amazed, no one can get hold of the French – and whoosh, another Zidane turner in a confined space, followed by one full shot to the post. Zidane? Well, maybe Jay-Jay Okocha too. In any case, big football was blowing through the Leipzig stadium, only the goal was missing. Nkunku had already scored one before.

His 1-0 hit the tumbling BVB violently, while Leipzig seemed to float. But this evening game got a few twists. BVB got up, it was ultimately about staying as Bayern pursuer in the season. Marco Reus converted after a through pass from Thomas Meunier to 1: 1. Then came Nkunku’s dance interlude (if you haven’t seen it, you REALLY missed something). Yussuf Poulsen finally got the Leipzig 2: 1 with a hit from the “Willensleistungs” mark. The Leipzig victory threatens to make the season boring, as Bayern already have four points (and 18 goals!) Ahead of BVB.

VfL Wolfsburg – FC Augsburg 1-0 (1-0), Goal: 1-0 Nmecha (14th)

The first week of the new Wolfsburg coach Florian Kohfeldt ended with the third success: an unadorned 1-0 win against FC Augsburg. Before the break, the Lower Saxony acted complacent and determined. Only the yield left a lot to be desired. Because after the remarkable header of the agile Lukas Nmecha (14th), who harmonized well with Wout Weghorst at the top, several excellent opportunities were missed. After the change, Augsburg were the better team. Wolfsburg now looked tired and vulnerable, it took a brilliant save by the recently scolded goalkeeper Koen Casteels against Andi Zeqiri (52nd) and a risky rescue act by VfL defender Sebastian Bornauw (55th) to ensure the successful success in the end.

VfB Stuttgart – Arminia Bielefeld 0: 1 (0: 1), Gate: 0: 1 Okugawa (19.)

Just as the Stuttgart lawn presented itself in its peaty November splendor, so did this game: It was a kick to shiver, a game for the little ones, so to speak. VfB was missing a whole eleven due to various ailments, Bielefeld tried with the resources of a team that had not been victorious for ten rounds. All in all, this resulted in a mixture of inability and, you have to put it that way, woodworking. And if the ball rolled longer, it was mostly out of bounds.

Speaking of Aus: some Arminia fans would have liked that for their coach Frank Kramer. He himself was with Sky explains that he took the criticism after the collapse of the DSC “of course, no one just takes it that way, it doesn’t bounce off anyone.” Amazingly honest words. And then what? Masaya Okugawa took the lead after a through pass from Patrick Wimmer – and the Bielefeld team finally took their first win of the season. Football in November: Not nice, but it has to be, as they say in East Westphalia.

VfL Bochum – TSG 1899 Hoffenheim 2: 0 (0: 0), Gates: 1-0 Novothny (65th), 2-0 Pantovic (90th + 5)

And another game that has long tried to be called “moderately attractive game”. It would have taken a lot of imagination to list real highlights from the first half … Compensation was given after the break. First, actually: a goal! One that referee Frank Willenborg had to check for accuracy on the screen, but that he no longer wanted to take away from the game. The 1-0 through Soma Novothny meant the acclaimed Bochum lead, Pantovic made everything clear with his famous ball into the empty goal, his shot rolled over the line from more than 55 meters. Also curious: VfL goalkeeper Manuel Riemann had previously missed a penalty (after he had scored in the cup).
