followreportAccording to Bloomberg, the snowstorm that hit “the Lone Star State” damaged some of the bitcoin miners’ equipment in the country. And the amount of electricity is greatly increased due to the low temperature. And those companies had to pause mining to protect the energy network.
The weather in Texas remains surprisingly cold. And the authorities have reduced the use of electricity in some areas.
Lee Bratcher – president of the Texas Blockchain Council – said the hardest hit entity was mobile container mining. “Because many are not designed to be weatherproof for winter storms.”
