Book about renewable energies: “Have lost every measure” – Munich

There is a lot of nonsense talked about energy and what it takes for an energy transition, say the two scientists Harald Lesch and Christian Holler. A conversation about misunderstandings and what is really to come.

Interview:

Jakob Wetzel

You have to pedal a lot for a bit of energy. If you ride a bike for ten hours, you generate just enough to take a warm shower for three minutes, for example. A solar system on four square meters would need an entire day on average for the same amount of energy. How much do we use and how can we produce it realistically and sustainably? The engineers and natural scientists Christian Holler, Joachim Gaukel, Harald Lesch and Florian Lesch answer these questions in their book “Renewable energies for understanding and having a say”. A conversation with the Munich physicist Christian Holler and the astrophysicist Harald Lesch about misunderstandings and nonsensical ideas – and about why hardly anyone talks about the biggest challenge.
