Bomb threat: plane has to land at Paderborn/Lippstadt airport – Westphalia-Lippe – news

The plane was en route from Poznań in Poland to London. According to the police, it took off on Sunday evening (11/13/2022) and landed unscheduled at around 10 p.m. at Paderborn Airport on the instructions of the airline. The more than 200 passengers and the crew were looked after in the airport building.

They were not in any danger, police said. Accommodation for the passengers is currently being sought. Passengers Danial Din and Shager Gopalakrishnan (cover photo) said so WDRthat at first there was only talk of technical problems.

The plane then landed quite abruptly. According to the two men, the passengers were only told about the bomb threat on the ground. The plane was searched until the early hours of the morning. Nothing suspicious was found. Specially trained dogs also help.

The background is still unclear. There is not yet a letter of confession or a sender of the bomb threat. The police released the machine and air traffic again. Two aircraft were affected during operation by the bomb threat.
